Artificial intelligence is changing how we work, and tools like Microsoft Copilot are leading the way. According to Forbes, AI tools like Copilot have the potential to increase employee productivity by as much as 40%. At Access Tech, we’re always looking for ways to use technology to make life easier—for us and for our customers.
The beginning:
As the designated tester for Copilot at Access Tech, I’ve been putting it through its paces. One way it has saved me hours every week is it’s ability to take notes during meetings. It’s great for quickly capturing key points, timestamps, and action items, but it’s not perfect. Sometimes, names or details aren’t quite right, so I always go through the notes, line-by-line, to edit what it records. I’ve also used it to draft emails, collaborate on PowerPoint projects, and send suggested files instead of searching for them on my own. This has been a great time-saver when I need a starting point.
Here’s what I’ve learned:
- Be Clear: If you’re not specific in what you ask, Copilot might miss the mark. Precise instructions lead to better results.
- Double-Check Everything: Copilot is helpful, but it’s not flawless. Review its notes or drafts to make sure the details are accurate.
- It’s a Helper, Not a Replacement: Think of Copilot as your sidekick. It’s there to assist, but you still need to do the thinking.
- Sometimes Faster Isn’t Better: For certain tasks, like a personal email or detailed data-entry work, using your own skills might still be the best choice.
At Access Tech, we love exploring innovative tools like Copilot because they align with our mission of making technology accessible for everyone. Whether it’s improving our workflows or helping our clients, we know the power of staying on the cutting edge.
