Skype for Business Retiring End of July: What Does This Mean for You?

Insights from Access Tech

Microsoft’s Skype for Business Online service is retiring end of July, 2021. The company recommends anyone using that platform, move to their Teams product/service. Teams has been consistently growing bigger as the weeks go by, organically replacing any needs for the older platform. As we have all noticed, the remote workforce explosion has pushed the need for group and individual IM usage. In-person meetings are quickly becoming a thing of the past, with company and personal communications regularly held virtually.

So, what does this mean for you? Are you still using Skype for Business? Or, are you moving with the tide, adopting Teams into your operations? Microsoft is offering upgrade trainings, including workshops and support. If you are already moving, or have moved to Teams, you are happily preventing this inconvenience.

We at Access Tech are well versed in this change, having adopted Teams several years ago. It is for that reason that we can help. Contact us at info@accesstech.net for guidance, any time.
